To access VRML worlds on the Web, the minimum you should have is a 14.4k modem with a
PPP/SLIP connection to an internet provider, a fast 486 with 8MB RAM, 12MB Disk with either
Windows 3.1 or Windows 95, and an accelerated video card (256 or more colors)
To comfortably navigate through worlds with more than a couple thousand polygons, you should
have a Pentium PC, 16M RAM, 12M Disk, a Video card with 3DR hardware acceleration and a
28.8k modem or faster (ISDN) connection to the internet.
Make sure that you have at least 12MB free harddisk space. Download Pioneer Create a temporary directory to store fountain installation files. From a DOS prompt, go to the temporary directory and run CP09B8.EXE (If you downloaded the multi-part version, run all three parts.) Go into Windows and run the SETUP.EXE file that CP09B8.EXE created in the temporary directory. After installation, you may remove the temporary directory. Example: (From DOS) C:\> MD tempdir C:\> cd tempdir C:\TEMPDIR> \download\cp09b8.exe (From Windows) In the Program Manager's "File" menu, choose "Run...". In the Command Line box, type "C:\tempdir\setup.exe" Click on "OK" and the installation should start! If you are running Windows 3.1 you will need ole32s.zip to get rid of a non-critical error message at Pioneer startup. Download ole32s.zip and extract with "pkunzip -d ole32s.zip" into a temporary directory. Run the setup.exe program located in the DISK1 subdirectory.
